This award will be presented to a kitchen designer aged 30 years and under, working within an Irish kitchen studio, who displays a promising and exciting future in kitchen design. The candidate will demonstrate his/her abilities in designing kitchens, taking budgets into consideration, overcoming any problems in the blueprint of the project as well as delivering the client’s outline, all to a high standard. The winner will show excellent potential and talent in this field by submitting a previous project and must be able to demonstrate a drive and determination for the future of kitchen design.
- Those entering this category will be no older than 30 years of age by 12th August 2011. Only one entry per designer is permitted.
- All entrants will be required to include a minimum of 500 words and no more than 1,000 words describing the design submitted. Questions to be addressed are in the entry booklet.
- High-res (300dpi) images of the project are also required on disc or memory stick.
- The judges of this category will choose their finalists, who will then be invited to give a 10-minute presentation of their submitted design at the Hilton Belfast on week commencing Monday 3rd October 2011.
Guidelines for entry
A completed entry form must be included with all category submissions. Entries can be submitted for as many awards as appropriate, but only one entry per award is permitted. For each category, entrants need to have been working and trading in the 32 counties of Ireland for at least 12 consecutive months prior to 12th August 2011.
